Texas 35 media partners with high schools to provide students who have an interest in media the opportunity to get hands on training out side of the typical journalism programs. Students have the options of learning the skills to be photographers, reporters, writers, and film making. Students who show they have the skills will be offered internships where they are in the filed working for Texas 35 across the area they live in. The training program has three levels our flagship schools, satellite schools, and area students.
Our flagship schools are the lead schools in the area and represent Texas 35 in their areas helping us expand our coverage in performing arts for high schools. Schools will contribute to state wide programing by providing photos, interviews, video and in some cases broadcasting.
Satellite schools help promote their schools performing arts by providing photos, videos, and interviews.
Some high schools do not provide journalism classes for students. This program was created to allow students who are interested in media have internships and learn the skills in media by providing photos, video, or interviews for Texas 35 media.
