A short introduction video to Texas 35 Media.
Texas 35 Media is dedicated to covering high school fine arts programs in the San Antonio, Austin, El Paso, and the Rio Grande Valley areas. We cover marching bands working with UIL, BOA, and US Bands, theater performances, choir performances, winter guard, indoor percussion, orchestra, and mariachi. Texas 35 Media also provides media days for the performing arts. Let us know if you are part of a performing arts group and would like us to cover your event.
Texas 35 Media was founded in 2021 to cover the news and events at Veterans Memorial HS in San Antonio focusing on performing arts and sports. The following year the program expanded covering 3 high schools in the local area. In 2023, the program expanded to 9 high schools in the northeast area of San Antonio. In 2025 we look to expand our program, not only in San Antonio, but in communities surrounding San Antonio. We are looking at creating teams based in Corpus Christi, Denton, and possibly Leander.
At Texas 35 Media, we believe in training high school students in every aspect of media. Whether a student is interested in broadcasting, photography, print, film, or sports media we provide students with training and hands-on experience to help build their portfolio and to gain experience that will help them in college or get a job in the media field right out of high school. Students in our program are assigned to one of our teams that covers a variety of school events, community events, and have the opportunity to work with companies on projects.
From our studios at Veterans Memorial HS, we produce a weekly news program that brings a variety of news stories from the schools that we cover.
